Keith competed in his first triathlon, the Coyote Carrera and he did amazingly well. His goal was to finish in one hour and he came in at 58 minutes, the winner came in at 53 minutes so he was not far behind. He did awesome on the run, especially since during his training he only ran three times, he averaged 6:30 miles. Next was the bike and he averaged 21.7 mph, it was cool to see him fly by us. The last leg was the swim and he did great. The swim is nice because you get to see them the whole time so we could cheer. Gayle brought the big cow bell and we clanged it nice and loud for him. The kids were really excited to be there and watch him race. It was fun to watch them cheer him on. Keith did really well for his first triathlon and we were so proud of him. Now of course, he is totally hooked and is already planning out when he can race next.
