The Power of Prayer

Coming home one night this was a storm coming down.  The wall of water coming down was crazy! 

The past few years we have been in a terrible drought, getting only about 5 inches per year.  Of course everyone was quite worried about the situation.  Church members decided to fast and pray for rain.  We started to get some really good storms and they just kept on coming.  These were storms that we rarely see the likes of, dumping inches of water in a short time.  Unfortunately it did cause some flooding in areas, but we were so grateful for the water.  I took a picture of the rain gauge measuring 2 inches after just a few storms, then a few days later measuring 4 inches! It was pretty amazing to watch the sheer volume of water that came down.
