The Things Kids Say

So here are some funny things that the kids have said lately:

We went on a small road trip and were up in the woods. Caleb had to use the restroom outside. I told him that he watered the rocks. He replied, "I watered the rocks and now it will grow a tree!"

Lauren has been fascinated with the boys across the street that skateboard. They are about 14 with saggy pants and shaggy hair! They have the whole look going and they love to skateboard on the street. the first day Lauren walks right over in her princess dress and talks to them for about 45 minutes. She asks them all about their skateboarding and what they do etc... Surprisingly they are very friendly with her. Later as they leave she yells out, "Hey skateboards guys, don't leave, come back!"

When we got back from our trip, my mom was saying how the neighbors were asking where the kids had been. Lauren and Caleb have made good friends in the neighborhood adults. Lauren looks at my mom and says, "Did my friends ask about me?" We thought she meant one of her little Primary friends so we were naming some off. She says, "No, my skateboard friend." Yikes we have to watch her already!

On our first Sunday here, Lauren wasn't used to the deacons passing the Sacrament. In our last ward the Elders passed and blessed because there were no Young Men. She leans over and says, "Why are all those little boys passing the Sacrament?"
