... of the house, that is. We have been keeping it pretty low key around here. We have mostly been hanging around the house. Of course the four other kids tend to get a little stir crazy. So we decided to go out and let the kids burn off some energy. We went to Tingley Beach to check out the little lakes. The grounds were landscaped so nicely and the kids got to feed the ducks and see the train. We also rented paddle boats and had a blast, not to mention a good workout! My parents came with us as well so we had plenty of adults to man the kids. It was the perfect first outing for Naomi, the weather was beautiful and there were hardly any people.
Keith and I also got to go out on a real date! It is a funny small world. Keith was sitting in Sunday School about a year ago and a visitor introduced herself. It was his piano teacher, Sherry Kelling, from Hugoton, Kansas. It turns out her brother is in our ward and she was visiting. She came back again this summer and insisted that we go out on a date and she would watch the kids for us. Not one to ever turn down a date we happily obliged. I picked a restaurant down in the valley. We sat out on the patio and had an amazing dinner!
