Pioneer Fireworks

I'm pretty sure that the Pioneer's did not have fireworks, but somehow it has become part of Pioneer Day celebrations, and for that my husband is very thankful! He loves to do fireworks. This year the weather was so dry in New Mexico that basically banned fireworks. Luckily for Keith, Utah had one of the wettest years ever and so they allowed pretty much any kind of fireworks. Keith made a stop out the the fireworks warehouse here and loaded up. All the little boys, and big boys for that matter were very excited. We had tank wars and bottle rockets and much more. I think that everyone had a great time and there were no injuries to property or people, so all in all it was a smashing success!

Caleb loves the tanks. He was very excited to light some this year.

Keith and Dale rigging some kind of explosion.

We were able to light of some pretty big fireworks, it was really beautiful.

It was sure fun to be able to share the night with you and your family and it made me feel nostalgic and remember the many times we have been able to do that in the past.
