Cruise Day 6

Today we docked in Cozumel, Mexico which is actually an island just off of the coast. For this port we booked an excursion to see the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. We had a to ride a large transport ship over to the main land. At the main land we caught out bus at Playa Del Carman. It is a beautiful city with incredible beaches. We decided that if we ever decide to do an all inclusive vacation we would like to come back there! We had an hour bus ride down the coast to the ruins. A tour guide took us around the ruins and told us all about the history and other interesting facts. They are the only Mayan ruins with a seaport. Then we were able to walk around ourselves an also walk down to the beach. Keith got in for awhile to cool down, the water was amazing! Then we got back on the bus and went back to the dock where we caught the boat back to the ship. We quickly got ready and went to dinner. Then we went to sea "Sharkbait" they are a comedy, juggling, crazy tricks duet. It was the funniest show Keith and I have ever seen. We laughed so hard that we cried and our sides ached. Then we went up to the lounge for the "Perfect Couple Game Show" They pulled four couples out of the audience and had them compete against each other by doing these hilarious tasks. For example, they had to pop balloons between each other in funny ways, the wife had to slide a lemon up one side of her husbands pants and down the other (on the inside of the pants) and much more. It was so funny, again, we laughed so hard we cried. Then we went and got some ice cream. Then we came back for Dancing with the Pearl Stars. They paired up people from the audience with the professional dance instructors and performers from the ship and they competed with each other. There were three judges and backstage interviews after you were eliminated. It was so much fun to watch. Our favorite person on the ship was Shirley. She was 80 years old and she participated in everything! She was so amazingly funny and Keith and I decided that we want to be like her when we are that age!
