While Hilary and Hugh were on vacation, we dog sat Lily for them. Of course the kids were ecstatic! They followed her around and petted her and loved on her, they played catch and took her on walks. I even caught them hand feeding her, it was pretty comical. Poor Lily got smothered with attention, especially by Naomi. Naomi would follow her around and lay all over her. I often found her just like the picture above, sitting right by Lily. It is a nice way to have a dog with out having to have one permanently.

I agree with you on that. It is way better to just babysit a dog than to be in charge of it always.
