Sunday in Salt Lake

For Sunday, we decided to head up to Salt Lake and attend church there and spend that afternoon on Temple Square.  We were fortunate enough to attend Sacrament Meeting in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  It was absolutely beautiful and a very special experience to be there.  The Ward has very few children and so it was silent not to mention that you are surrounded by incredible beauty in that historic room and building.  After church, we had a picnic lunch then, we walked around Temple Square.  Finally we spent a couple of hours at the Church History Museum.  Our kids love it there and we had to drag them away.  It was so wonderful to be back up in Salt Lake and reminisce about our time living there.  We had no money but lots of dreams and future plans.  I have so many fond memories of living there and all of the wonderful experiences that we had.  I really enjoy taking the children back and showing them were they used to live.  Of course, it is always wonderful to spend time on Temple Square as well.  The Spirit is so powerful there and a it is a great reminder of our blessings!
