We made our annual drive to 4th of July Canyon to see the leaves. Like last year we were a bit too late. Next year we need to remember to go the last week in September or right away in October. Even though most of the leaves were gone, we still had a really great time. The drive there is beautiful and very relaxing. We hiked up the trail farther than we have ever gone in the past. At the trail head, they have this big sign warning of the danger of it being Cougar Country. They even give safety tips and how protect yourself. The kids had fun finding sticks to arm themselves in case of attack. I pity the cougar that would stumble across this well armed crew!
