Quick trip to Madrid

Keith and I both love to travel and he is always up for an adventure. Every once in awhile we have a nice quiet Saturday at home where we get things done. But most Saturdays roll around and Keith is ready to go out and do something. This Saturday we decided to go on a quick day trip. There is a small town not to far away called Madrid. It is an old mining town turned artist colony. Local artists bought the old houses and turned them into galleries and shops. The movie Wild Hogs was filmed there. I haven't seen it, but heard it was funny. It is a nice scenic drive and lots of motorcyclists drive there. We toured the main Street, and got treats at the Soda Shoppe. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed the nice drive, it was quite relaxing.

Keith was eying the sweet Ducati parked outside. Needless to say he will not be getting one for Christmas, he hasn't been that good :)

We drove this loop up to Santa fe about two years ago. I had seen the movie Wild Hogs and recognized the city from the movie. It was a little like Deja vu. Anyways, I have wanted to go back and explore. One of our stops will be the shoda shoppe, that looks fun!

Wow - the biker bar from Wild Hogs!! Cool little town and such a fun Saturday thing to do - (so much more memorable & fun than getting things done at home!)
