Saturday Fun

This past Saturday we went to the Galloping Grace Pumpkin Patch. We hadn't had time earlier to have a family activity for Caleb's birthday. This Saturday we finally had the chance. The Pumpkin Patch was amazing! They had horse rides, a country store, a corn maze, tons of games and activities all perfect for children. It is all free as well. It is run by Galloping Grace, a local ranch that lets children ride horses for free. They are an inspiring charity and they do so much good work. I really wanted to buy pumpkins and support them. So after the kids had played for quite awhile we went to the pumpkin area and they each got to pick out a pumpkin. They had all different kinds pumpkins, squash and gourds. I picked out this cool pumpkin that was star shaped on the bottom. The kids were pretty pleased with their selections.

The Family

Lauren was pretty apprehensive about riding the horse. The people were so patient and really helped her overcome her fear. I was very impressed with how great they were with the kids.

Cowboy Caleb had no apprehension what so ever! He donned that hat and was ready to go.

Like Lauren, Ella was very apprehensive about riding the horse. In fact they couldn't even get her to just sit on one. They did however help her pet the horse.

After the Pumpkin Patch, we headed over to the Atomic Museum. We toured the Museum and got to see all kinds of cool things, rockets, torpedoes, missiles that are launched from submarines, parts of a submarine and more. They also had scientists doing experiments with the kids. They got to make their own bouncy balls which was really cool.
