Thursday it was time to head back home. We had an awesome time visiting my sister and seeing the sights. We are glad that they were able to hang out with us and our 5 busy kids, hopefully they still like us. We had a couple of stops planned for they way back. Keith really wanted to see the giant Sequoias, so we drove though Sequoia Nation Park. You climb really high into the mountains and it is a beautiful drive. The size of the trees are pretty hard to imagine, they are HUGE, enormous is probably a better word. We drove through the whole park and saw some beautiful sights. We definitely want to come back when we can explore more and the weather is a bit warmer. Poor Eli got carsick, the road was really steep and super curvy. That night we stayed in Bakersfield. The next day we got up and drove to Prescott, AZ to meet up with Gayle and Mark. We had a BBQ and then went swimming at the Hotel. It was nice to spend some time with them, even if it was just for a short while. They next morning we toured around Prescott and then drove home.
