Eli had the first dental mishap in our family. We were over at a friend's house and they were on the trampoline. Eli's little friend, Dallan was sitting down and Eli came walking by. At that moment Dallan started to get up and Eli lost his balance and his mouth landed on Dallan's head. We surveyed the damage and something didn't seem right about Eli's tooth. I took him home and got his mouth cleaned up. Sure enough his front tooth was pushed up and back into his gum. We went to the dentist and in 85-90% of these cases the tooth comes back down. The worst case scenario is that it could get infected and then he would have to get a root canal or get it pulled out. Luckily it is his baby tooth so if they have to pull it it won't be too bad. We just have to keep a close eye on the tooth over the next little while and go back to the dentist for follow-ups. The irony of it all is that they weren't even jumping on the trampoline when it happened, such is life!
