For Memorial Day weekend and my dad's birthday we decided to go camping. We didn't want to deal with the crowds so we went Mon-Wed instead. It was a wise choice because there were hardly any people out. We went to the Jemez, about an hour from our house. It was really beautiful! Our spot was right by a little creek and the kids had a blast playing in the water and exploring. Lauren was a real trooper and went on a 4 mile and a 5 mile hike in the same day. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, popped popcorn and of course made S'mores. The weather was great and we had a fun and relaxing time!
