Oh Canada, Jour Trois

Today Keith had the day off so we decided to explore the famous Botanical gardens and Olympic Park.  The Gardens are huge, 190 acres, and we explored almost all of it!  The have different garden habitats from all over the world.  There were some incredible plants and trees, ponds and so much more.  We also toured the Insectarium and saw a lot of bugs.  I have never seen so many enormous bugs in my life!  After we had our fill of gardens, we walked over to the Olympic Park.  We rode a elevator of sorts to the top of the torch tower  for a spectacular view of the city.  The tower is the largest inclined tower in the world.  After that we drove to the Temple, the drive was really neat because we had to go through a tunnel that goes under the river, it was cool.  After that we headed back tot eh hotel for dinner.  We decided to try Poutine
( pronounced Poo-tin)  it is a famous dish in Montreal consisting of french fries, topped with cheese curd and then a gravy sauce.  It is definitely not low fat, but it was very interesting to try.  After that we went for a quick swimming, it was a long but very fun day.

Keith loved these Bonsai trees.  They ranged from 20-200 years old.
